Walking in, visitors are greeted by the rich, toasty aroma of roasted chestnuts that permeates the entire space. The bakery offers an extensive chestnut-focused lineup including bam-pie, chestnut eclairs, chestnut tarts, cocoa-bam, and chestnut gelato. The signature bam-pie features a thin, flaky pastry shell filled with sweet chestnut paste and a whole chestnut piece, the quality is evident from the first bite, and at 13,000 won for a box of six, it makes an excellent and affordable souvenir. The chestnut eclair leans toward a choux style with a moderately sweet chestnut cream that pairs well with coffee, while the chestnut tart combines the richness of egg custard with the natural sweetness of chestnuts. The pain d'or also comes generously filled with chestnuts, keeping the bread moist rather than dry. The second floor offers window seats overlooking Gongsanseong, making it an ideal spot to rest during a Gongju trip with a chestnut latte in hand. Popular items tend to sell out by afternoon, so early visits are recommended. On-site parking behind the building is limited to roughly three cars, so using the nearby public parking lot is the more practical option.
