Planes landing at Jeju Airport pass low over the water just across the coast road from this wild-fish sashimi house. The hwangdom (yellow sea bream) course is a fixed per-person meal: live octopus, turban shell, abalone and hairtail sashimi arrive first, then aged fish with a firm, sweet bite. The house way to eat it is to flip a perilla leaf, add sushi rice, a slice of fish and garlic stems dressed in fermented fish innards, then wrap; the funky dressing divides people. Fried sweet potato comes alongside, and seaweed soup made from sea bream bones closes the meal. Every seat is on the floor with shoes off.
