Myeongjin Jeonbok 명진전복

Myeongjin Jeonbok is an ocean-view restaurant focused on high-quality farmed abalone. Wait times have improved significantly, and late lunch can mean little to no wait. The signature Jeonbok Dolsotbap, or abalone hot pot rice, is deeply infused with abalone flavor and mixed with sweet dates and chestnuts. After the rice is scooped out, hot water can be poured into the stone pot to create a savory scorched rice soup flavored with abalone innards. A perfectly salted grilled mackerel is served as a complimentary side dish, and a piece of mackerel with the scorched rice soup makes one of the meal's strongest combinations. The restaurant does not strictly require ordering one dish per person, which helps groups order according to appetite.
