Saneuro Gan Godeungeo is a wood-fired grilled fish restaurant in Gogi-ri, Suji-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, operating in a Korean hanjeongsik style that has made it the premier dining destination in the area and a nationally recognized name. Waiting over an hour on weekdays and encountering queues of 90 or more parties on weekends is standard, underscoring its extraordinary popularity. Arriving before the 10:30 AM opening for an early-morning run is strongly recommended. Filling out the order sheet during the wait and submitting it in advance ensures food arrives as soon as guests are seated. A large parking area and an indoor waiting room are provided, and an adjacent building houses a side dish production and retail shop that helps pass the wait productively. The signature grilled mackerel is cooked in a wood-fired kiln, yielding a crispy exterior and moist interior with excess oil rendered away for a clean finish. The grilled hairtail is impressively thick with abundant flesh and a tender, delicate texture, and jeyuk bokkeum (spicy pork stir-fry) is available as an alternative main. The true distinction of this restaurant lies in its unlimited self-service refill bar. High-quality banchan including bellflower root salad, ponytail radish kimchi, pickled chili peppers, japchae, and lotus root are available alongside unlimited rice and soup, creating a level of abundance that rivals a dedicated Korean buffet. The individual quality of each side dish is high enough that multiple visitors have noted they would be willing to pay for them as standalone items. The interior features a clean, contemporary Korean design, with different sections of the restaurant offering slightly varied atmospheres. Staff are courteous and the operation runs with visible organization. At approximately 15,000 won for a grilled mackerel set, the value proposition is outstanding when the unlimited banchan is factored in. Parking, however, is perpetually at capacity. The most efficient approach is to have one person exit the car first to register in the queue while the driver parks separately.
