탑골순대국

I had the set meal at this sundae soup spot near Suji District Office Station. The broth was rich yet clean, satisfying enough to drink on its own, and the soup came loaded with meat, tripe, and offal in what felt like a one-and-a-half-person serving. The set at 14,000 won includes a separate plate of sliced head meat and sundae. The head meat was bouncy and tasted great with just a touch of salt, while the sundae grew nuttier with each bite. Seasoning starts light, so you adjust with saeujeot or dadegi to taste, and the kkakdugi had an almost effervescent tang that paired wonderfully with the soup. A side plate of liver and lung comes complimentary with the sundae soup order. The original building has an old-school feel with somewhat brusque staff, while the newer annex is cleaner and friendlier. There is always a line, and nearby parking is limited, so expect to walk about 200 meters from the closest spot.
