박순자아우내순대
Park Soonja Aunae Sundae, located on Aunae Sundae-gil in Byeongcheon-myeon, Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, is the most recognized sundae (Korean blood sausage) restaurant in the renowned Byeongcheon Sundae Street. Among the many establishments lining the street, this restaurant commands the highest name recognition and visitor volume, drawing dedicated patrons who travel from Seoul specifically for a single meal. The primary menu items are sundae-gukbap (blood sausage soup with rice, 10,000 won) and modeum-sundae (assorted blood sausage platter, 16,000 won), both served in exceptionally generous portions. The sundae here follows the traditional tosok (rustic) style rather than the modern, cleaner dangmyeon-heavy variety common elsewhere. The blood content ratio is high, and the cooking calibration is precise — upon entering the mouth, the sausage crumbles with a texture reminiscent of soft tofu, dissolving almost instantly. This unique mouthfeel distinguishes it sharply from standard sundae. The filling combines glutinous rice, vegetables, glass noodles, and coagulated blood, yielding a nutty richness entirely free of off-flavors. The accompanying offal is fresh and chewy. The gukbap broth is opaque and rich, with seasoning left to the diner via salted shrimp placed at each table. The soup bowl arrives generously loaded with sundae and intestines, and diners may request a bowl with only sundae or only intestines according to preference. Kkakdugi and additional side dishes are available at a self-service station for unlimited helpings. Solo diners ordering both the gukbap and the assorted platter should note that the combined quantity is substantial — plan portions accordingly. However, the platter-exclusive sundae texture offers a distinct pleasure not replicable in the soup format, making both items worth experiencing. A large dedicated parking lot sits directly across from the restaurant, ensuring convenient vehicle access. Weekend lunch waits of 30 minutes or more are standard; arriving around 3 PM on Saturday or near closing time helps avoid the queue. Takeout orders may be refused when the wait line is long, and the queue management process is occasionally disorganized, so confirming position directly is advisable. A well-known hodugwaja (walnut cake) shop stands right in front of the restaurant, making a convenient paired stop. Operating hours run from 8:10 AM to 7:00 PM.
