Milan Guksu 밀란국수

Milan Guksu has held its place in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam for many years, centering the menu on self-milled noodles and shabu-shabu alongside a range of Korean dishes. The house noodles, blended with buckwheat flour, carry a smooth surface and moderate spring that adapts cleanly to every dish on the menu, which constitutes the restaurant's primary advantage. The shabu-shabu set assembles meat, vegetables, four dumplings, and noodles in a single pot at 13,000 won, closing the meal with a rice porridge course from the remaining broth and delivering strong overall value. The kodari-jjim, a braised semi-dried pollock dish cooked in a savory-spicy sauce with sweet potato and rice cake, has gathered a quiet but loyal following. Many regulars have developed a personal finishing ritual of adding bean sprouts to the remaining sauce and pairing it with rice and seaweed soup. Kodari-jjim requires a minimum order of three portions. In summer, the seoritae kongguksu becomes the standout option: the broth is built from one hundred percent domestic black soybeans ground shell-on through a custom stone mill, producing a deeply nutty and nutritionally rich result. The menu extends to perilla seed kalguksu, pufferfish kalguksu, bibim-guksu, and maesaengi oyster rice soup, giving returning visitors fresh territory on each visit. The yeolmu kimchi consistently draws praise as well. Public transit access is limited, but six to eight parking spots sit in front of the restaurant, and high chairs for children are available, making family meals practical. Lunch draws lines from nearby office workers, though the quick table turnover keeps actual waits short.
