Taehwagak 태화각

At Taehwagak the big set is the classic table: a plate of tangsuyuk (sweet-and-sour fried pork) in the middle, with jjajangmyeon, fried dumplings and jjamppong broth around it. It is sized for three or four people sharing from small bowls. Start the pork with just a touch of sauce to taste the firm coating, and by the end you are eating pieces that have soaked it up and gone soft. If a set is too much, a single bowl of jjajangmyeon or jjamppong is a perfectly good reason to come.
