This historic restaurant has been my go-to comfort food spot in Samcheong-dong for years. Their signature Sujebi comes in a small clay pot, filled with an anchovy-based broth, zucchini, clams, and thin hand-torn dough. The texture of the dough varies from soft to deliciously chewy. You absolutely must order their thick, crispy Gamjajeon (potato pancake) to eat alongside the soup. The pairing of the warm broth with their refreshing Yeolmu (young radish) Kimchi is perfection. While there is almost always a long line outside, the tables turn over incredibly fast, so do not be discouraged. Be sure to arrive well before their 7:30 PM closing time, as they sometimes shut the doors early. Take note that taking photos of the interior is not allowed, so stick to snapping pictures of your food.
