300m from Jonggak Station. Near Insadong. I always make a point to visit Mido Galbi when I am in Jongno. Their LA Galbi is the star here, and I highly recommend getting half regular and half spicy. The staff expertly grills everything right at your table, leaving you free to chat and enjoy the meal. Every order comes with a rich, hearty Ugeoji (dried napa cabbage) soup that is absolutely perfect for clearing a hangover. Make sure to try the spicy LA Galbi paired with their chewy chic-naengmyeon (arrowroot cold noodles)-it is an unbeatable combination. If you want something richer, order the Jjapaghetti topped with cheese and a soft-boiled egg. The restaurant is massive with private partitions and spacious rooms, making it ideal for large groups. Skip the busy peak times and come hungry to tackle their generous salad bar.
