The best part about Ssanggyo is that the pork galbi is meticulously grilled in the kitchen before reaching your table, saving you from smelling like smoke. I always order half regular and half spicy ribs; the meat is flawlessly tender with a perfectly balanced marinade. Instead of finishing with cold noodles, you must order their signature Deulkkae Sujebi (perilla seed dough soup). The rich, creamy perilla broth is incredible, but be warned-one order is easily enough for three people. Always expect a waiting line, especially on weekends, as they do not take reservations. The turnover is surprisingly fast, and they have a comfortable waiting area and an outdoor playground.
