Gogi guksu here carries so much pork that once the noodles are fished out, thick slices are all that remain in the bowl. Myeolgo guksu brings a dried-fish stock, closer to dipori than anchovy, together with the pork, and people split between liking that aroma and finding it too fishy. The makchang sundae, sausage in pork intestine, has a strong porky smell, and the glutinous-rice sundae is the safer pick. Extra broth is poured if you run low.
