The radish in the sogogi muguk, beef and radish soup, is cut into big cubes almost exactly the size of the kkakdugi on the side, and it is easy to mix them up. The clear broth is neither spicy nor salty, and anyone expecting a fiery hangover soup will find it gentle. Rice goes into the bowl with a pinch of black pepper, or gets wrapped in roasted laver between spoonfuls, and the broth can be topped up.
