The duruchigi and momguk are the signature dishes. The duruchigi follows a distinctly Jeju style: pork is topped with shredded radish, bean sprouts, and scallions, then simmered tableside by the owner before broth is added to create a saucy, flavorful finish. The smoky char and sharp gochujang-based seasoning make rice disappear quickly, and the standard finishing move is grabbing fried rice ingredients from the self-serve bar to cook in the remaining sauce. The momguk soup is loaded with mojaban (sargassum) seaweed, delivering a deeply oceanic flavor without any artificial seasoning, excellent for hangover recovery, though the distinctive seaweed aroma can divide opinions, with some comparing the broth to baek-jjamppong ramen. The grilled mackerel arrives topped with a generous pile of onions that neutralize fishiness and enhance overall flavor, with the onions' crunch balancing the saltiness. Seongge-miyeokguk (sea urchin seaweed soup) carries a strong ocean scent but serves better as a complement than a main order. The owner and staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming even solo diners warmly. No alcohol is served, turnover is fast so even with a queue seating comes quickly, and the parking lot is spacious. Early morning hours are available, making it a viable breakfast destination as well.
