Deokchung Sikdang 덕충식당

Two older owners cook and serve, and a kimchi-jjigae set lands almost the moment you order: pork kimchi stew, seaweed soup with clams, soy-marinated crab and more than ten side dishes. Yeosu's local specialty, seodae-hoe-muchim (raw sole tossed in a sweet-sour chili dressing), mixes into rice without any extra soy sauce. Three people sharing three sets and one plate of the fish salad is about the right amount. Breakfast is served, and paying in cash costs less than paying by card. Every departing guest is sent off with a wish for good fortune.
