Dancheon Myeonok 단천면옥

The naengmyeon broth adds smoked anchovy stock to beef bone stock, and the anchovy comes through first. A refugee from Dancheon in South Hamgyeong Province started the place, the third generation runs it now, and a sign outside speaks of longing for that hometown. Order bibim naengmyeon and the sauce arrives on the side with a little broth for mixing yourself. The squid sundae has no fishy smell and plenty of savoriness, though some diners feel it costs too much for what it is.
