This is the main branch of Manseok Dakgangjeong, sitting right beside Cheongchoho Lake in Sokcho. I bought the regular-flavor boneless option, and unlike the typical crispy dakgangjeong, these pieces were distinctly moist and tender. The sauce walked a fine line between mildly spicy and sweet, hitting a balance so precise that stopping after one piece proved nearly impossible. A major advantage is that the chicken stays soft even after cooling down, so taking it home as a travel souvenir and eating it hours later still delivered a satisfying experience. The production area is visible through full glass walls, which showcased a notably hygienic manufacturing process and gave me real confidence in the product. The packaging was solid and travel-friendly too. They use a KakaoTalk-linked queue notification system, so I pulled a number, strolled around Cheongchoho Lake, and came back right on time when my order was ready.
