Bongmilga 봉밀가

Bongmilga is a Pyongyang naengmyeon specialist near Gangnam-gu Office Station, listed in the Michelin Guide continuously since 2018. The beef-based broth draws inspiration from the legendary Wooraeok but achieves a cleaner, more refined clarity, with an intensely beefy aroma that distinguishes itself from the first sip. The buckwheat noodles are soft with a clean snap, and the restaurant's house-developed pear vinegar - meant to be drizzled over noodles pulled onto a side plate - adds a bright, gently sweet dimension without masking the buckwheat's natural fragrance. Seasonal limited-edition variations like the minari (water parsley) mul-naengmyeon keep the menu fresh for returning visitors.
