The stir-fried octopus is more sweet than fiery, and ordering it as a set brings a small bowl of clam soup. The jaecheop-guk itself is a clear, light soup of tiny clams that turns sharper with chopped green chili. Thick rolled omelet and mackerel browned almost to a fry are refilled on request. The place has handled marsh clams since 1987 and is now in its third generation with a Century Store designation, though some regulars say the seasoning has grown saltier since the expansion.
