A neighborhood noodle shop in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, specializing in anchovy broth noodles. The deeply concentrated anchovy stock was the heart of the menu - from the first spoonful, the rich, warming broth made it impossible to stop. The noodles were cooked just right, maintaining texture without going soft, and the large portion costs the same as the regular. The bibim-guksu (spicy mixed noodles) looked fiery but turned out to be well-balanced, neither too salty nor too sharp. The kimchi appeared homemade, with quality Korean chili flakes giving it a deep red color and pleasant kick that paired well with the noodles. The atmosphere is humble old-school neighborhood diner, but at 7,000 won for anchovy noodles this concentrated, the value is hard to beat.
