Pyeongyang Myeonok is a historic naengmyeon restaurant in Oryu-dong, Guro-gu, housed in a traditional hanok exterior with a cleanly renovated interior. Noodles are pressed to order, resulting in thick strands with a higher wheat flour ratio than typical buckwheat noodles. The clear broth may seem mild at first, but as the noodle starch dissolves, the flavors gradually deepen - a unique tasting experience. Mul-naengmyeon is priced at a wallet-friendly 10,000 won, with extra noodle portions available. The nokdu-jeon is crispy outside and moist inside, while the pyeonyuk (sliced boiled beef) is pleasantly tender. Bibim-naengmyeon is another popular choice. Shoes are removed at the entrance. Street parking is limited, so the Teotgol public parking lot in Oryu 1-dong is recommended.
