The shop is stronger on older styles than on trendy pastries like kouign-amann: crisp garlic baguette with a nutty garlic aroma, baekseolgi (steamed rice cake), plus coconut pastries and cream puffs. Forks, knives, plates and a microwave are set out, so bread bought at the counter can be warmed and eaten on the spot. The high-ceilinged hall is spacious but voices echo loudly, and free tables are hard to find on weekends. Popular loaves can sell out by late afternoon.
