Oryukdon 오륙돈

Made from pork hind leg, the broth is clear and heavy with medicinal herbs, and it tastes closer to chicken gomtang than to dwaeji gukbap, pork and rice soup. Anyone expecting the usual milky pork broth may be disappointed; anyone who likes a clear, chicken-gomtang kind of soup will be glad of it. The rice is warmed in broth before it goes in the bowl, and more broth is poured whenever you ask. Dwaeji jijimi, a pan-fried pork pancake, is nutty and juicy with no gamey smell.
