Bread is picked from the ground-floor cases and paid for in line, then carried up to a broad second-floor cafe that looks out over the street near Hansung University Station. Three generations have run this bakery, and its custard cream bread (syukeurim-ppang) and fresh cream bread (saengkeurim-ppang) are made with little sugar so the cream and egg come through. The salad bread is a long-running classic, and the cake called European Royal Dessert is built on thick layers of cream. Cakes are priced high and can be reserved for celebrations. Staff park cars by valet; past 30 minutes there is an extra fee.
