Its signature experience centers on wrapping kimbap and charcoal-grilled pork bulgogi together in lettuce and perilla leaves, a combination that sounds unlikely but proves remarkably harmonious. The restaurant opens at 5 PM, yet seats fill almost instantly, with a queue of ten or more groups being the norm. Orders are taken by the owner in strict entry sequence, so there is no need to flag anyone down from the table. The pork bulgogi is grilled over yeontan charcoal briquettes and dressed in a red chili-based marinade that differs markedly from the soy-sauce style found in Daegu. The kimbap holds its own flavor, but wrapping it alongside the smoky, juicy pork in fresh greens elevates both components to something greater than their parts. Ojingeo-bokkeum arrives in generous portions without excessive sweetness, making it an excellent companion to steamed rice, and the complimentary odeng broth served on the side is quietly delicious. Pork bulgogi and kimbap cannot be reordered once ingredients run out, and refill orders take considerable time even when available, so ordering generously at the start is essential strategy.
