Jeombongsan Sanchae 점봉산산채

Before moving down to its current site a few years ago, this sanchae restaurant spent years on the slopes of Jeombongsan, and its history runs past 30 years. The sanchae jeongsik, a mountain-greens set meal, covers the table with wild herbs, including some rarely seen elsewhere, and side dishes that are just as unfamiliar. A sour-sweet pine-needle enzyme drink opens the meal, and a bitter herbal tea in the style of ssanghwa-tang closes it.
