Red and black lacquer walls and a row of private rooms set the tone at this Cantonese restaurant on the lower level of The Westin Josun Seoul, 200m from Euljiro 1-ga Station. Signature dishes include Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (bul-do-jang), Peking duck and Cantonese dim sum. Beef tangsuyuk wraps tender beef in crisp yet chewy batter, and the jeonbok samseon jjamppong, abalone seafood noodle soup, uses a chicken-based broth for a clean finish. Cut open a chive and shrimp dumpling and the shrimp juices and chive aroma come out together, while har gow is the dim sum that shows off the seafood most. Diners used to bold sauces may find the gentle seasoning across the menu mild. Weekends add a format of small portions for sampling several dishes. Dessert options include almond tofu in coconut milk and lychee sorbet. The restaurant opened in 2008 as a full renovation of the hotel's Chinese dining room.
