오향가 가락본점

Operating in Garak-dong since 2010, this Chinese restaurant has earned a devoted following for its signature ohyang jokbal and fiery jjamppong. The braised pork feet are simmered to a dongpo-rou level of tenderness, falling apart softly, and interestingly develop a chewy, bouncy texture when refrigerated and eaten the next day. Note that jokbal is only available during dinner service. The jjamppong delivers unmistakable wok-fired smoky depth with generous seafood and meat, making for a satisfying bowl. The real hidden gems are the mapo tofu rice and fried rice, both carrying excellent wok aroma with portions that leave nothing to be desired. The tangsuyuk comes in old-school style with a crispy shell that creates an air pocket between batter and meat, served with a classic white sauce. Arriving after 1 PM avoids the worst of the lunch rush, and reservations are not accepted.
