Hanchae Jjukkumi 한채쭈꾸미

Jjukkumi bokkeum, baby octopus stir-fried over an open flame, goes onto a bowl of rice along with bean sprouts and seasoned radish from the self-serve counter, and everything is mixed together. There are three heat levels: hot, medium and mild. Medium runs a bit hotter than Shin Ramyun, and even mild is too spicy for children. When the burn builds, the broth from the acorn-jelly bowl in the set cools things down, and the crisp dotori-jeon (acorn pancake) can be used as a wrap. On weekdays, a receipt gets you a free coffee at the cafe next door.
