Order the chapssal tangsuyuk first. The glutinous-rice coating shatters at the edges and turns chewy and stretchy inside, with a tart sauce. Gan-jjajang is lightly seasoned, letting the toasted black-bean flavor through. The jjamppong leans on seafood savoriness and has little chili bite; for heat there is octopus jjamppong or the mala version, which numbs the tongue. Seasoning across the menu runs sweeter than salty, which may disappoint anyone who dislikes sweet food.
