Hoe-guksu comes on a big platter with medium-thick wheat noodles, slices of raw white fish and chojang chili sauce all together, and you toss it yourself wearing the plastic glove provided. The dressing is tangy and sweet rather than hot or salty, and plenty of visitors call the result ordinary. Seongge-guksu is the warm option, the same noodles in a salty broth topped with sea urchin roe. As of 2025-08-27, hoe-guksu cost 13,000 won and seongge-guksu 15,000 won. The restaurant sits right on the Dongbok-ri shore, but across its old and new buildings only a few tables face the sea directly.
