Bonito flakes, not anchovies, flavor the broth. The bowl tastes smokier and more savory than the usual Korean anchovy noodle soup. The main dish is garak-guksu, soft thick wheat noodles topped with crown daisy, fried tofu, seaweed and sesame, offered in regular or large size. Hot days bring chilled noodles, kongguksu in cold soybean broth, and spicy bibim-guksu onto the menu. Pickled radish and kimchi are self-serve. The stall sits inside Jungang Market in Sindang-dong; cards are not accepted, only cash or KakaoPay.
