Gongneung Dak Hanmari 공릉닭한마리

Compared with its busy neighbors on Jongno's dakhanmari alley (whole chicken simmered in a pot), this shop has more space between tables and a calmer room. The broth leads with clean chicken flavor and little salt, so diners add garlic to taste, and the meat is tender with little gaminess. Chives and shredded cabbage piled onto the dipping sauce of chili paste, soy and mustard soften its bite. The owner walks first-timers through the order of eating.
