Whole pine nuts are set into the tofu, so every soft slice has nutty little bites in it. The tofu pan-fried in perilla oil goes early, and late arrivals often miss it. Lay a piece of braised kodari (semi-dried pollack) with its sauce on the fried tofu and the plain tofu picks up seasoning. The tofu hot pot is refreshing rather than spicy.
