One of Seoul's celebrated top three patbingsu destinations, located in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, with a strict policy of using only Korean-grown red beans for both bingsu and red bean porridge. The signature patbingsu features shaved ice generously topped with whole sweetened red beans, with condensed milk hidden inside that, once mixed through, releases a wholesome, gently sweet flavor. Chewy injeolmi rice cake topping - made without any powder coating - adds a satisfying textural accent, while chestnuts, ginkgo nuts, and a dusting of cinnamon create layers of flavor variation within a single bowl. The green tea and strawberry bingsu variations also incorporate the red bean base and benefit from the same strong fundamentals. The danpatjuk (sweet red bean porridge) is so well-crafted that takeout orders continue steadily even in winter, a testament to the quality of the beans themselves. Sharing one bowl of bingsu and one of danpatjuk between two people is a recommended combination. The shop is small, enforcing a one-order-per-person rule, and parking directly in front is very limited, so using a nearby public lot is advisable. Queues form regularly, but turnover is relatively quick given the nature of the dessert, so actual wait times tend to be shorter than they appear. The interior is kept clean, and the shop works well as a post-meal dessert stop.
