Janggobang 장꼬방

Finely shaved milk ice is topped with house-cooked red beans, and more beans and roasted soybean powder are layered through the middle so the last spoonful tastes like the first. The beans in this patbingsu are only lightly sweet under fresh chestnut slices, and ssuk chapssaltteok, mugwort rice cake around a red bean and nut filling, can sit right on top. Winter brings red bean porridge with cinnamon, rice cakes and chestnuts.
