Buminok 부민옥

Tucked into Da-dong behind Seoul City Hall, about 250m from Euljiro 1-ga Station, Buminok runs as a lunch canteen by day and a drinking spot by night. Its yukgaejang is packed with tender beef and big pieces of green onion, the broth clean and onion-scented rather than oily. Yang-muchim, beef tripe cut into large chewy pieces and dressed, is built for soju. Yang-gomtang has generous tripe in broth to fish out and dip in soy sauce. Even the anchovy stir-fry among the side dishes works as a drinking snack, and solo diners eat comfortably here.
