Sunsuhan Doombi 순수한둠비

A family that once ran Seomun Dubu makes the tofu here from Jeju-grown soybeans only, and the name fits: doombi is Jeju dialect for tofu. Tofu is made and sold on the ground floor, with the dining room upstairs. A set brings stone-pot rice with maesaengi sundubu (soft tofu with silky green seaweed) or a spicy version, plus tteokgalbi, a grilled minced-meat patty, tofu jeon and grilled mackerel. Back downstairs after the meal, there is a cup of tea at the unstaffed cafe, and tofu such as the maesaengi tofu to take home.
