Sokuri 소쿠리 sokuri

A bamboo basket (sokuri) packed with side dishes surrounds a plate of jeyuk-bokkeum, spicy stir-fried pork, in the Sokuri Hansang set. The side dishes shift a little with each season, almost like a home-cooking omakase, and stir-fried eggplant is the standout among them. Rice cooked with hijiki seaweed comes with buckwheat tea in place of water. A single young owner cooks and serves, so dishes take time, and seating is limited.
