Butter is the first thing you notice on stepping into this small bakery at the entrance to Onjeong Village. The Danish berry wraps a moist filling, sweet from fruit more than sugar, in pastry with distinct layers; the walnut kouign-amann is a crisp shell of walnuts, sugar and butter. There are only two tables, and most people leave with a bag. Near closing, only a few pieces are left.
