Everything from the chipotle chicken bowl to the mushroom burger is plant-based, and portions are large. The bowl is piled with Mexican-style toppings, the burger's patty tastes close to soy meat, and the kofta meatballs, served with roast potatoes and thin tahini sauce, come very near the real thing. The pumpkin hummus salad is mild on spice. Up a narrow entrance to the second floor, the room feels like a casual LA cafe, with English-first menus and a mostly foreign crowd; order and pay first, food comes to the table, water is self-serve, and no soda is sold. Weekend lunch usually means a 20 to 30 minute wait.
