Myeongdong Umi Dakgalbi 명동우미닭갈비

The meal finishes with nurungji roll fried rice: rice pressed crisp onto the pan, scraped up and rolled into a log. It is dry and crunchy, a treat to some and a miss to others, and ordinary fried rice is available too. The chicken comes in large pieces with no off smell, but the seasoning is on the light side; when staff finish cooking and ask how it tastes, that is the moment to ask for more sauce. The restaurant has been near the Pungmul Market crossroads since 1970.
