I had the 1++ hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap and cheese kimchi pancake at this bibimbap spot, an eight-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 1. The bibimbap looks impeccable and tastes clean, but the gochujang is quite spicy, so adding it bit by bit is the way to go. The raw beef topping gives a nice texture, though the overall umami depth falls slightly short and the vegetable portions are not as generous as expected. The cheese kimchi pancake is a treat when eaten hot. Everything runs self-service: order at the kiosk, pick up when your buzzer goes off, and return your tray after the meal. International visitors outnumber locals, and the complimentary sanbang tea is worth trying. Weekday evenings around 7 PM are walk-in friendly, but the kitchen starts closing around 7:20 PM, so do not arrive late. The most recent Michelin listing was 2019.
