Mejukkot 메주꽃

Eight small starters, among them a flower-garnished salad, suyuk (boiled pork) and japchae, are set out in little portions as soon as the table is seated. Rice, soup and six side dishes come only once those plates are mostly cleared. Beyond the suyuk there is little meat on this vegetable-led table, and the seasoning generally leans sweet. Tteokgalbi, a grilled minced-meat patty, has to be added before the meal.
