Munjiri 535 is a massive cafe in Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju, where coffee and sweet red bean bread are paired with harvested-field views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The interior is enormous and filled with plants, giving it a botanical garden feel, and rain on the glass walls with jazz overhead can make the atmosphere especially memorable. The sunset view from the second-floor terrace is another strong point. Sweet red bean bread is generous with beans and nuts, and the coffee uses decent beans. Pasta and salad options make it viable as a brunch destination. The parking lot is large enough for easy car access, but first-time visitors should follow GPS carefully because the roads are tricky. Weekends and holidays can become crowded enough that finding a seat is difficult, so weekday visits are better. The cafe pairs well with a Heyri art village or Paju drive route.
