A jokbal (braised pig's feet) restaurant in the jokbal alley of Mapo Gongdeok Market. Ordering jokbal unlocks a complimentary spread that borders on absurd generosity - a large clay pot of sundae-guk and sundae, both with unlimited refills. The freshly boiled jokbal had a satisfying combination of tender and chewy textures, and the garlic jokbal carried a subtle garlic infusion that added depth. The sundae-guk, despite being complimentary, was packed with offal and delivered a richness that rivaled dedicated gukbap restaurants. The tteokbokki came in a thick, market-stall style that was addictive in its own right. Even the small order was enough for two people to leave full. On Sunday evenings, when surrounding restaurants have closed, this place stays packed - a Gongdeok institution for good reason.
