Jojo Kalguksu City Hall Branch is a clam-noodle restaurant on Sejong-daero 11-gil in central Seoul. The menu centers on dongjuk kalguksu, water-gun clam soup, and octopus seafood pajeon. Dongjuk is a shellfish with meat thicker than a small Manila clam and a texture that sits between a firm clam and a tender scallop. In the noodle bowl, shellfish savoriness and salinity spread through a clear-looking broth, while crown daisy contributes a green, herbal fragrance. The seasoning is more pronounced than the pale color suggests, with a clean chile warmth beneath the clam flavor. Thick, smooth noodles absorb the broth but retain a springy center. Eating noodle and dongjuk together places mild wheat, elastic shellfish, and hot liquid in the same bite. Mulgongjogaetang, a water-gun clam soup without noodles, shifts attention toward a larger field of shells, rounded clam meat, and the broth itself. It has fewer flour and vegetable elements, so the marine aroma feels more direct. Nakji haemul pajeon spreads octopus, shrimp, and other seafood over a broad savory pancake. Its outer rim fries into a crisp, browned layer, while the thicker center remains moist. Seafood sits visibly across the surface rather than being ground into the batter, and pieces can separate from the pancake as it is divided.
