Near Dongseong-ro. I had the double portion at Jeonwon Donkkaseu, a nostalgic gyeongyangsik tonkatsu spot in a basement in Daegu's Jung-gu. The thin cutlet with a pooling sweet sauce over rice is exactly the flavor Korean students loved in the 1990s. Food arrives within two minutes of ordering, and a small paper cup of cola comes as dessert. The salad with udon noodles mixed in was a charming touch, and the kkakdugi was tasty. People line up before the 11 AM opening, and there is no parking lot, so public transit is the way to go. If you are expecting thick Japanese-style tonkatsu, this is not the place, but for anyone chasing that old-school Korean diner nostalgia, it delivers perfectly.
