Hanokjip 한옥집

Kimchi-jjim and kimchi-jjigae are the whole menu. The jjim arrives ready to eat, long-aged kimchi with pork that comes apart at a touch of the chopsticks; the jjigae boils at the table until the pork is done, then ramen noodles go in. Neither the kimchi nor the meat has any bitterness, and the finish is clean. Rice, ramen noodles and the laver side dish keep coming as long as you ask. It is a directly run branch of the Seodaemun original, tucked deep in a Dongin-dong alley that takes a little finding the first time.
