The hong-tang (spicy broth) beef noodle soup was the standout - the deeply extracted beef umami in the broth made every spoonful compelling, with a clean spiciness reminiscent of yukgaejang layered with a subtle peanut undertone. The kkae-busu-myeon was a peanut-sauce-based mixed noodle with a chewy texture and minced meat that made for an interesting combination of flavors. The yuringi (fried chicken) had a uniquely smooth texture, as if the breast meat had been finely ground before frying. The cucumber jangajji was pleasantly tangy rather than salty, serving as an effective palate cleanser. The open kitchen layout lets you watch the cooking process, and the setup is well-suited for solo diners.
